Brightspeed Future-Proofs Broadband Rollout with Advanced Mesh Wi-Fi Testing
Brightspeed, a major force in the U.S. telecom space following one of the largest ILEC asset carve-outs in recent years, embarked on a bold mission: deliver high-speed fiber and broadband access to underserved rural and suburban markets. But launching a next-generation network at scale required more than ambition—it demanded a modern, agile testing environment capable of validating cutting-edge technologies like Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 across a diverse range of customer premises equipment (CPE).
To achieve this, Brightspeed partnered with Spirent and systems integrator World Wide Technology (WWT) to deploy the Octobox Stack-Mesh-Mid platform—an advanced, real-world emulation testbed purpose-built for multi-vendor Wi-Fi performance testing. With no legacy infrastructure to lean on, Brightspeed needed a scalable solution that could evolve with its roadmap, deliver automation, and ensure consistency across mesh and standalone gateways.
