Customer Overview. A global leader in optical communications equipment FiberHome manually set up 20 or more testbeds a year in its networking test labs for engineering testing as well as post-sales customer support.

The Challenge. Due to the volume of testbed standups, FiberHome senior management determined they had to increase overall lab efficiency to make 100 + engineers worldwide more productive, where test teams were spending inordinate time reserving and manually standing up the equipment versus doing testing. Also, the test assets were not being released until the end of a project, leaving expensive resources tied up unnecessarily. Operating expenses and Capex costs were a growing concern.
