This year’s theme, __“Leading the Future of AI,”__ reflects how the OCP community is driving innovation to meet the demands of AI and cloud-scale computing. Our joint showcase with __Juniper Networks__ brings this vision to life with a hands-on demonstration of __Ultra Ethernet Transport (UET)__, a next-generation Ethernet technology designed to deliver the performance, interoperability, and resiliency required for AI and HPC fabrics.

The demo will highlight new packet-trimming capabilities and __interoperability with emerging transport standards like UET__, ensuring infrastructure can meet the demands of AI-driven networking. It also emphasizes collaboration within the OCP community to__ evaluate the performance of UEC-based networking solutions__, underscoring the role of advanced testing tools in preparing networks for AI-scale workloads.

The Spirent Academia Forum 2025 is your opportunity to join top academic and technical minds advancing the future of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) innovation. Held at the renowned National Physical Laboratory (NPL), this annual event brings together researchers, faculty, students, and Spirent collaborators to share pioneering work, explore new challenges, and celebrate academic excellence.

This year, the Academia Forum is proudly part of SYNCHRONISE, a three-day event created by Spirent, NPL and the RIN. Hosted by NPL, the agenda is as follows: 

__Day 1 – Spirent Academia Forum (Wed 22 Oct)__

A full-day program dedicated to academic research, collaboration, and future innovation in PNT.
- Keynote presentations from Spirent leaders and guest researchers
- Research showcases from Academia Program participants
- Expert-led panel discussions on future PNT systems
- Networking and technical discussions with leading academics 

__Day 2 – RIN Next Gen Nav (Thurs 23 Oct)__

Next Gen Nav is the RIN’s flagship conference showcasing early career research and innovation in the PNT space connecting early career professional and industry leaders.

- bridging the gap between early career professionals and employers 
- honing presentation skills and forging useful contacts 
- offering insights into the state of the industry from both an employer and early career professional perspective
